Working on one of its suggestions the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. has been created to expedite development of highways in the North-Eastern region and border areas. Neglect from the previous regimes has bled the region for decades.
In order to bring evenly development, Union Road Transport and Highway Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari Ji has consented to relax norms for the northeastern states, particularly Arunachal Pradesh, for executing the Trans-Arunachal Highway project.
